Wild abandon to wild succumbing - how will you soften into this season of 'late-summer'?
The season ‘in-between’
This is the transitional pause before the fall. The time of the year where many of us are aching to get back into a routine whilst all the while wishing we could spend every day with our children for just that little bit longer. Work is calling but so is the slowing down and so we find ourselves in our own daily juxtaposition. The back to school feeling is upon us and so is the shifting into cocoon mode.
We are invited to embrace this change whilst finding comfort in the flux between the two seasons; late summer and early autumn.
This time of ‘Late Summer’ invites us to be fully present and enjoy the moment we are in, right now, this moment and honouring this mystical, liminal time in between.
We’ve been spinning and glowing in the dizzy heights and flow of summer vibes and now we are in need of a come down, a slowing and softening into the belly of Mother Earth. When we mirror the nature around us it helps us come back to the earth and ground down. Return to the rituals we know bring us deep self love and nourishment whilst also bringing a sense of balance too.
The cooler mornings are upon us and berries are bursting through the greenery on the hedgerow. Their vibrant colours making us stop and take notice, the fruit rich with all we need for the winter months ahead so we can tend to our own core and inner landscape. The solar energy is being recycled, it is being gifted back to us in the form of ripe fruits; trees laden with plums, apples and berries for us to invest. And like we tended to the land, sowing seeds in her fertile soil in spring and summer now our efforts are rewarded.
This land we walk is our garden so even if you are without your own garden you can still be a guardian of her rich abundant soil.
This September I will be working with the Earth element, and when we explore this elemental we find that it encourages us to feel at home in the world, and there is a sense of peace being home within our bodies too.
This Autumn why not join me by the the glow of crackling fires and candles, warm drinks in hand as we gather at our virtual hearthside, joining me in my forest side dwelling to celebrate the autumn equinox and this new seasonal tide on Saturday 23rd September | 8:30pm | live on Zoom
Why not settle down, get cosy, light your candles and prepare for an evening of ritual, deep relaxation and journaling as we call in this change of season together and learn more about our seasonal year.
